FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Tina Regester, Public Information Officer, (410) 638-8440 HARFORD COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL FLU CLINIC DATES IN DECEMBER BEL AIR, MD(December 6, 2007)With the flu season lasting through April, the Harford County Health Department is encouraging residents who have not yet received their flu vaccination to visit the Health Department at 119 S. Hays Street in Bel Air during the times listed below: Wednesday, December 12, 2007 from 3:30 p.m. 5:00 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2007 from 9:00 a.m.11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2007 from 3:30 p.m.5:00 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2007 from 9:00 a.m.11:00 a.m. According to Dr. Yngvild Olsen, Chief Medical Officer for the Health Department, It is not too late to receive your annual influenza vaccination. We have held six flu vaccination clinics throughout the county this season and are still getting calls each day from residents seeking a flu vaccination. To better serve our community, we encourage adults and children age 6 months and older who still havent received their vaccination to visit one of the Health Departments walk-in clinics. The cost of the vaccination is $20 (cash or check) or free to persons with Medicare Part B. No medical assistance will be accepted. Wearing short sleeves or loose fitted shirt is encouraged.
